Hi, I’m Rose…call me Ally
I am currently pursuing my Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate at UMass Global as I work toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I began this journey in May 2026, driven by a passion for understanding human behavior and helping individuals develop skills that improve their quality of life.
My professional background is quite diverse. Before pursuing ABA, I built a career in marketing, project management, and business strategy, working across industries including cleantech, technology, and volunteering with nonprofit organizations. Throughout my career, one thing consistently fascinated me: people. What motivates us? How do we learn? Why do we form habits? And how can meaningful behavior change create better outcomes?
Those questions ultimately led me to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Today, I work with individuals and their families in the school, home and clinic settings while continuing my education and fieldwork experience in ABA. I am also the founder of Helena & Arrow, a marketing and project management consultancy that supports cleantech organizations, startups, and mission driven businesses. While these two fields may seem different, both are rooted in understanding people, communication, motivation, and behavior. Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new about behavior, communication, learning, and growth, whether I’m supporting clients, developing marketing strategies, or helping learners build meaningful skills.
Outside of work and school, I’m a curious adventurer at heart. I love traveling and exploring new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and collecting memories from around the world. Music is a constant companion in my life, whether I’m studying, working, or simply unwinding after a long day. I also enjoy dancing, coloring, and finding creative ways to relax and recharge.
One of my favorite parts of the day is spending time with my doggy, Jada. Whether we’re taking a walk, enjoying the outdoors, or simply relaxing at home, she always reminds me to appreciate life’s simple moments.
I’m also passionate about lifelong learning. Whether I’m studying behavioral science, developing marketing strategies, discovering a new city, or learning a new skill, I believe growth happens when we remain curious and open to new experiences.
I created Behavior by Design as a place to document this chapter of my life. Here, I’ll share my experiences as an ABA student, lessons from my journey toward BCBA certification, reflections on behavior and learning, and occasional glimpses into my travels, interests, and everyday adventures.
