Hello and welcome!

I’m Rose Ally Otowo, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Behavior by Design is my personal corner of the internet where I’ll be documenting my journey through the world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as I work toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

In May 2026, I began the Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate program at UMass Global. Like many students entering the field, I’m balancing coursework, fieldwork, professional growth, and everyday life while learning how behavioral science can be used to create meaningful and lasting change.

This blog is a place for me to share what I’m learning, the questions I’m exploring, and the lessons I’m taking away from my studies and experiences in the field. You’ll find reflections on ABA concepts, study notes, practical applications, research insights, and honest perspectives from a student navigating the path to BCBA certification.

But don’t worry, this won’t be all textbooks, data sheets, and behavior plans.

I believe learning should be engaging, relatable, and even fun. Along the way, I’ll also share snippets of the things I love outside of ABA, including travel adventures, fashion finds, personal growth, and the everyday moments that make life interesting. Think of this as a blend of behavioral science, professional development, and a little bit of lifestyle inspiration.

Whether you’re a fellow ABA student, an RBT, a parent, an educator, a BCBA, or simply someone curious about behavior and learning, I hope you’ll find something here that informs, inspires, or makes you smile.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Let’s learn, grow, and design positive change together!
